EXPEDICIÓN GUARANÍ
In Expedición Guaraní the participants will travel 450 km through the most beautiful sites of the country; al though Paraguay has no high mountains, you will reach the ones of the highest peaks of the country, you will have to pedal several miles of sand and mud roads, rappelling in beautiful waterfalls, all in an environment full of lush vegetation, the last remnant of the Atlantic Forest, which was the second largest rainforest in South America, it extends from Brazil (Pantanal area) through Paraguay, reaching Argentina.
Mixed teams of 4 members can aspire to reach the awards of the Expedition ARWS Category, and for slower or novice will have a cut with the intention that all teams can reach the finish line. But we enable the Adventure ARWS Category, with a shorter distance, for mixed teams also of 4 members who want to experience for the first time the excitement of an expedition race with the best racers in the world. There will also be a category with that shorter distance but for teams formed by 2 members, Challenge category.
Although the country does not have very actuals maps, we promise to fix them and add all the information needed to be able to trust them.
Paraguay is country with very friendly people, which is the reason why the excellent service to the runners will become the trademark of Expedición Guaraní.

CATEGORIES
In Expedición Guaraní we will have 3 categories, in order to offer this magnificent adventure to the maximum possible number of racers.
ARWS
Expedition-ARWS
In this category, mixed teams of four athletes (at least there should be a boy and a girl on each team) will be participating. This is the traditional format in the adventure racing around the world.
In this category you will not need to have own care, as is the organization that is responsible for transporting the equipments transition in transition.
Participating teams will have the possibility to complete the EG2019 route and will opt for official prizes.
ADventurE-ARWS
In this category, mixed teams of four athletes (at least there should be a boy and a girl on each team) will be participating.
In this category you will not need to have own care, as is the organization that is responsible for transporting the equipments transition in transition.
The participating teams in this category will share, with Expedition, the essence of the EG2019 route, although their total distance will be shorter, so that all teams can reach the same finish line for both categories. All the teams will enter the unique classification of the ARWS category, and therefore, all those who finish will get points for the ranking of the world series. These teams will always finish, in any case, behind the Expedition teams that manage to finish the race.
CHALLENGE
This category will have the same route of the Adventure race, a more affordable format, designed for teams that have less experience or less physical capacity. In this category will participate teams formed by 2 athletes. Can be mixed, men or female teams.
In this category you will not need to have own care, as is the organization that is responsible for transporting the equipments transition in transition.
